I grew up living in various towns on Eyre Peninsula, mostly in the lovely sea-side town of Port Lincoln. After completing my PhD in Adelaide, I returned to Port Lincoln and was employed as the senior research scientist investigating biodiesel in microalgae. I currently work on a casual basis at the Port Lincoln Marine Science Centre on a wide range of marine aquaculture projects. My profession has allowed me present my research at international conferences, which means I bring a wealth of experience in communication and public speaking to your ceremony.
In 2009 I married and recently I started a family, with two children under the age of four. With a love of all things outdoors, I also play hockey as an active member of the Port Lincoln Flinders Hockey Club.
My role as a civil celebrant is currently my full-time profession, enabling flexibility and clear dedication to my work and your special day. I have a genuine love of working with people, to help and share, one of the most important moments in their lives.
I am professionally trained and experienced in performing civil marriage ceremonies and are also able to service renewal of marriage vows ceremonies, commitment ceremonies and naming ceremonies. I abide strictly to the Code of Practice for celebrants (as governed by the Attorney-General’s Department) and I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC).
